Media, PA – The Indians continued to roll in the
playoffs but the next opponent will be quite the challenge. The tribe will face
the #1 seed Cardinals with the winner punching their ticket to the National
League Championship game on Saturday. This game started off with Orioles taking
a 5-0 lead in the second inning before the Indians started to wake up and hit.
Tristan Blair hit the bomb of the year in the second inning with the bases
loaded. Blair tripled clearing the bases and set the tone for the rest of the
game. Mike Piscopo reached base three times, scored twice and notched 3 RBI.
Maeve Brophy walked twice and made a great putout at third base from an
excellent throw from Jason Coury. Will Cohen was great in the field and also
pitched in the fifth to hold off the Orioles. Sarah Liebman pitched 2 strong
innings to record the win.
The Orioles also came to play.
Mike Foster reached base three times while Evan Whitehouse had two hits for the
O's. Trent Graci also added a hit.
