Playoff Game 9
Indians (New Spring Capital) 10
Cardinals (Concord Auto Body) 5
Media, PA – Win this one and
you punch your ticket to the Championship game on Saturday.
With
the season series tied at one, this game was sure to be a struggle for both
teams. After two innings, the game was tied 1-1 and after 4 innings the game was
tied 4-4. Something had to give. The fifth inning was where the Indians came
alive, scoring five runs and never having to look back. Jason Coury and Harrison
Maull provided the offense with four hits and five RBI between them throughout
the game. They also were great on the hill to lead their team to victory. Mike
Skerritt added two hits and two RBI as well and was key behind the plate for the
tribe. Cooper Bittle was also strong behind the dish throwing out a would be
thief at third.
The Cardinals were powered by their pitching in this
one. Sean Gorman pitched three innings giving up only two runs. Nick Rosen and
Blayke Reid were also very good. Rosen also added two hits and Blayke Reid added
a triple to the Cardinal offense.
The Indians' opponent in the
Championship game? We will know Thursday night.
