NL Game 19

Indians (ICS Corporation)   10
Rockies (Quinn Construction)   7

Media, PA – The Rockies came out with something to prove on this warm night in April. They put up a quick 5-spot on the Indians with Quinn Kell leading the way with a leadoff triple. Jack Shafer added a hit and Harry Giles doubled to add to the fire.

The Indians responded quickly with 4 runs of their own. Ben Liebman had 2 hits and Cooper Bittle added 3 more to his season stats. The real story here was Sarah Liebman and her great pitching performance. Liebman pitched 4 strong innings allowing only one earned run and had 6 strikeouts. She notched the win for the Tribe.

A quick note here Nate Evert has walked 10 straight plate appearances smashing the MLB record of seven set by the 5 players below:

Consecutive plate appearances with a walk - 7 (5 tied):
Billy Rogell, Detroit Tigers – August 17 through 19, 1938
Mel Ott, New York Giants – June 16 through 18, 1943
Eddie Stanky, New York Giants – August 29 and 30, 1950
José Canseco, Oakland Athletics – August 4 and 5, 1992
Barry Bonds, San Francisco Giants – September 24 through 26, 2004
