The Indians scored 5 runs in each of the 1st two innings to open a 10-2 lead. The Cardinals scored 2 runs in the bottom of the 3rd to close the gap to 10-4. Each team scored runs in the 4th inning, but the Indians extended the lead by 1 (13- 6). In the top of the 5th, the Indians batted around and scored 5 more runs taking a 18 - 6 lead. The Cardinals could only get one more run in the bottom of the 5th. The game ended 18-7.

The Indians had twenty hits in the game and the Cardinals had eight hits.
