The Indians defeated the Mets 12-2, thanks to a strong start. The Mets took a lead in the top of the 1st, scoring 1 run with two outs. The Indians scored 4 runs in the bottom of the 1st, 1 run in the 2nd inning, and 5 runs in the third inning.

The Mets scored one in the top of the 4th, but the Indians scored 2 runs in the bottom of the 4th to secure the 12-2 win.
